The Master Inspector Association represents experienced property inspectors committed to excellence in client service, communication, inspection standards, and reporting.

The Master Inspector Association of New Zealand (MIANZ.org.nz) was established in 2016 to identify and connect inspectors who consistently demonstrate high professional standards, strong ethics, and quality reporting practices. The association was created to encourage collaboration between inspectors, improve industry standards, and promote better outcomes for property buyers, owners, and industry professionals.

Following the success of the New Zealand association, Master Inspector Australia (masterinspector.org.au) was established in 2020 with the same vision — to build a trusted network of highly competent inspection professionals committed to delivering reliable, independent, and professional property inspection services.

Registered Master Inspectors™ (RMI®) are expected to maintain high standards of professionalism, industry knowledge, integrity, and client care. Members must remain in good standing within the industry and operate in accordance with the association’s Standards of Practice, Code of Ethics, and professional expectations.

The association promotes:

• Clear, accurate, and practical reporting
• Ongoing professional development
• Consumer confidence within the property inspection industry
• Collaboration and support between inspectors

Master Inspectors™ aim to deliver inspection reports that clearly communicate visible defects, maintenance issues, and areas requiring further attention, allowing clients and other parties involved in a property transaction to make informed decisions with greater confidence.

The Master Inspector brand represents professionalism, credibility, independence, and a commitment to raising standards within the property inspection industry.
